A: We believe there are many people who are seeking help and encouragement to face life's difficulties and challenges. We also believe God has provided answers through His Word, His Spirit and His gifted people.
Q: What counseling methods do you use?
A: Our counselors use reliable, biblically based principles and strategies to support and encourage clients as they develop new skills and explore options for dealing with problems. While we may draw from other disciplines, we never use methods which contradict biblical principles.
Q: When should I see a counselor?
A: While individual cases vary, some of the times a counselor may be helpful are listed below:
When you feel a need for personal or spiritual growth.
When you have a conflict you cannot resolve.
When you lack peace and joy in your life.
When events or emotions seem overwhelming.
When your marriage is in trouble.
Q: What types of counseling do you provide?
A: We provide individual, pre-marriage, marriage, family, and group counseling. Some of the issues may include affairs, depression, anxiety, divorce, grief, issues of worth, communication, anger, stress, family and relationship problems, health issues, vocational problems, burnout, spiritual and ministry issues.
Q: How do you do marriage counseling?
A: Many times we use both counselors when counseling couples. We have found it particularly effective for our clients to receive both male and female perspectives of an issue. Sometimes only one partner comes and we pair them with the appropriate same sex counselor if possible. We use a variety of strategies and techniques from proven Christian counselors and marriage experts.
Q: How confidential is your counseling?
A: Confidentiality is a crucial element of the counseling relationship. Information shared is held in strictest confidence. There are some limitations to confidentiality as required by law.
Q: What are your fees?
A: We are committed to providing affordable, Christian counseling. Our standard fee is $100 for a one hour session, or $150 with two counselors, payable at the time of appointment. We will work to make our services available to all who seek counseling. We are able to take credit cards and some churches assist their members with the counseling fee. Special funding is available to assist ministers and their families.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: We are unable to accept insurance because we are Christian counselors who are operate under the authority of our Christian beliefs and religious affiliations. Clients may wish to file with their insurance companies for reimbursement. We do however work with anyone to make counseling affordable.
Q: Will I ever be referred somewhere else?
A: Occasionally there may be cases when it is in the best interest of the client to refer to another source. Referrals will be made to competent professionals with a preference given to Christian practitioners.
